Samsung has yet to roll out Google's Android 6.0 Marshmallow update and according to a new leak, Samsung smartphone owners, especially those with Galaxy S6, Galaxy S6 Edge and Galaxy S6 Edge+, may not have to wait long before getting their upgrade. Express.co.uk, in its report, confirmed that a leaked document from inside Samsung revealed that Samsung Galaxy smartphone owners are set to get the Android 6.0 Marshmallow upgrade in February or March.

It added that Samsung's Galaxy Note 5 will also be getting the much- awaited upgrade in February while the Galaxy Note 4, Note Edge and Galaxy S5 is slated for a March or April release of the Android 6.0 Marshmallow. Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge owners are scheduled to receive the update within the first quarter of 2016.


Moreover, the new Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge smartphones, which are expected to be released very soon, will be out with Android 6.0 Marshmallow already installed in it.  In a YouTube video uploaded by Raheel Ahmad earlier this week, it featured a Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge running the Android 6.0 Marshmallow and fans will definitely be delighted to see new, exciting features and functionalities bundled with the upcoming upgrade.

With the Android 6.0 Marshmallow, a new My Places panel will be included. This feature will allow the user to have a quick-launch for recently used apps. There will be panels for Sports, Twitter Trends, Quick Tools, Yahoo Finance, Weather and S Planner. Accordingly, Samsung users will have a new settings option that will be able to add and remove panels.
