For almost two years since the launch in March 2018, the Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus have started upgrading to Android 10, while the update is already working for German users and Xfinity Mobile customers in the U.S.

The S9 series was first released with Android Oreo, which makes the third largest version of Android available on both phones. (They were previously upgraded to Android Pie at the end of 2018 and early 2019.)

Like the previous Pie update, Samsung is once again launching the Android 10 update for international customers and Xfinity Mobile. However, due to the complexity of updating on Android through several telecom operators in the U.S., it can take several days or even weeks to reach the device.

Samsung has already used the Android 10 update for last year's Galaxy S10, S10 Plus, S10E, Note 10 and Note 10 Plus and 2018 Galaxy Note 9. It's still not on the latest leader list: Galaxy Fold; Samsung plans to release an Android 10 update in April.
