Samsung has started rolling down the Android Marshmallow update to its Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge in their home country of South Korean. It worth noting that unlike the previous accidental roll outs to the Galaxy Note 5, Note 4 and the S5; this one is an official update. The Korean electronics giant had shared the Marshmallow update schedule for their range of devices back last year. Just to recall the Samsung Galaxy S6, S6 Edge and the Note 5 were the first in the list to receive the update. So it isn't quite a surprise to see the company rolling out the update now in Korea.

Changes made Samsung is much touted Doze feature exclusive to Android Marshmallow. Apart from that the Fingerprint sensor of the device embedded within the home button can now be used for third party applications. It's however worth noting that the cosmetic changes to the UI are rather minimal. Despite rolling out the update in Korea, Samsung hasn't yet made it clear when they will be pushing it in international market including India. Samsung generally rolls it out within a month or so. The company is also expected to officially roll out the Marshmallow update for its two other devices namely the Galaxy Note5 and the Galaxy S6 Edge+.
