Fingerprint unlock feature comes to Android in latest Whatsapp update.

Without being affected by its huge user base, WhatsApp is often in no hurry to introduce the most anticipated new features. Dark mode still works, but fingerprint publishing only appeared on iOS a few months ago. It is now finally available in the latest beta for Android applications.

When installing version 2.19.221, you should see the "Fingerprint" option in the "Settings"> "Privacy" section, but it may also be connected to the switch on the server side, so if you haven't received it right away, Do not panic. You can do this by uninstalling and reinstalling the application, but be sure to backup your conversations!

If you have a chance, it is very simple. WhatsApp will contact your phone and allow you to save your biometric data, after which you will be asked if you want to block it as soon as you close it or wait for 30 seconds / 1 minute. There is also an option that allows you to hide the contents of notifications when blocked.
