Never used Built-In Video application removed by Instagram in latest update...

Instagram removed IGTV button.

In the year 2018, Instagram has launched its long-lasting video brand, IGTV. By 2020, we have less than a month, and perhaps the most well-known way to access IGTV is by going out.

On Saturday, TechCrunch announced that Instagram would remove the IGTV button, which appears in the upper right corner of users' home screens in the main Instagram app. Reason? No one voluntarily pressed this button, said an Instagram spokeswoman for TechCrunch.

Of course, this does not mean that IGTV leaves or even concludes any significant contracts. Anyway, not now. This button was just one of the paths to the glorious world of IGTV. You can still find it in the preview on your news feeds, on the entire IGTV page under the Overview tab, and on the profile page of any user who created the IGTV video.

Oh, there is also a separate program. If you didn't know it or just didn't care, you're not alone. Another key point in the TechCrunch report is that, according to Sensor Tower, the IGTV app has been downloaded just over a million times in the US since its launch in the summer of 2018.

For reference, TikTok received almost 80 times the number of downloads in one region in the same time period. No, at least not like Facebook

It was easy to see that IGTV became a major competitor to YouTube at its launch, but the rapid rise in popularity of TikTok has since made a clear statement. If its high number of downloads on IGTV was not sufficient evidence, it also appeared before the usual Facebook and Instagram programs in 2019.

It is obvious that Instagram and Facebook will not follow the dinosaur in the near future, but the competition is definitely heating up.
