Microsoft's Lumia smartphone lineup not very much successful in the Mobile Handset world, but it looks like the android developers community isn't giving up it like HTC Windows Devices. The Nokia Lumia 520 is an entry-level Windows 8 device, announced back in 2013, and later succeeded by the Lumia 525 and 530.A few days ago,
XDA developer Triszka Balázs posted a video on Youtube 21 Aug 2016. in-progress CyanogenMod 13 port to the Lumia 525. The video shows CM13, based on Android 6.0.1 booting on the device as well as opening and closing apps.
The developer only demonstrated the 525 booting, but he is currently working on kernel tweaks to allow the 520 to boot as well. He intended on releasing an installer and the source code in the near future, but his Lumia 525's EMMC died, leaving him without a dev device.
Optimistic Lumia owners will have to wait until he can get his hands on another 520. Nevertheless, running any form of Android on a Windows Phone device is impressive, and I wish him the best of luck.
