Asus allows you to manually enter the charging time of your phone, while Apple's implementation uses behavioral training to determine how to charge. This function is activated when you charge the phone at night, limiting it to a smaller capacity, then fully recharging when you approach the moment when you are likely to start using it again.
The Oneplus optimized charging function works the same way, only charging your phone 100% when you need it. It does this by predicting when the phone will be needed in the morning, based on alarms, calendar and current user behavior. This feature was released on OnePlus 7 and 7 Pro as part of Oxygen OS Open Beta 7 last month, and we will likely see more models in the near future, as well as stable versions of the OnePlus firmware. If you are in beta and want to activate it, go to the "Battery settings" section and activate advanced charging. You will receive a notification that it is active and you can deactivate it to continue normal charging if you plan to turn off the phone sooner than usual.
As other manufacturers use these battery protection features, I hope in the future this will also satisfy Android. The increased battery life negates the main reason why you may need to replace the phone and create a more valuable device in the process.
